Basking Sharks at Whitsand Bay Cornwall

The warm and settled weather at Whitsands during June has brought about an increase in sea life sightings in the bay.  We witnessed a pod of 12 or so dolphins breaching as they made their way from West to East around Rame Head late evening recently.  The next day a large seal sat just off boiler beach for several minutes and the bay has also attracted several large Basking Sharks.  We were lucky enough to kayak and boat with the sharks between the James Egan Layne wreck and Queener Point over a three day spell of beautiful conditions at Whitsands Cornwall.  All of the photographs that we took of the massive sharks can be found in the Wildlife at Whitsand Bay section at the bottom of our 'Gallery Page'
